Employee Food Drive is a Huge Success
The month of August began with the City of Dublin Employee’s annual summer food drive. With four inter-Departmental teams, each team randomly selected a meal to donate towards: Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner. Each team’s challenge was to provide the largest quantity of healthy and balanced selections of non-perishable food. Less than one week into the food drive, the teams quickly filled the four food containers originally provided. The subsequent five food containers provided were filled to the brim in less than one week later. The drive ended on Friday, August 21st with a total of nine food containers filled to capacity with healthy and balanced non-perishable meals. The generosity and kindness of the City’s Employees were clearly displayed in this food drive challenge. The donations will benefit the Alameda County Food Bank’s charitable work of providing food to Alameda County residents in need.
