Hometown Heros Annual Celebration

Save the Date! Now an annual event, the Dublin Senior Center will be hosting the 3rd  annual “Hometown Heroes” Celebration to honor all our past veterans. The event will be  held at the Dublin Senior Center on Sunday, November 7th, at 1:30 PM. The Celebration will be highlighted by a special presentation from The  191st Army Band, also known as  the “Band of the Wild West Jazz Band.  The 191st Army Band is headquartered at Camp Parks and the performance will be from their “Septonic Trance” ensemble.  This event is free to the public and refreshments will be served.

Senior Health Fair

The Dublin Senior Center will host a Health and Resource Fair on Saturday, October 30, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. featuring over 40 health care vendors. Seniors, caregivers, adult children and families of seniors are all welcome. Attendees will learn about the different government, non-profit and commercial resources and services available to senior adults.
This event is free and the first 300 people will receive a free lunch. Everyone will walk away with a wealth of free information. For those on Medicare, flu and H1N1 shots will be available and are free of charge. Other free services offered include blood pressure checks, bone density scans, ear wax checks, healing touch, and balance checks. Several free presentations will be scheduled during the event including information on Medicare, back care, in-home care, wills and trusts, and estate planning overview.
