26th Annual Tree Lighting
The 26th Annual Tree Lighting promises to be an “illuminating affair”. On Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 7 p.m. in the Civic Center Plaza, we’ll kick-off the holiday season with the lighting the redwood tree located in front of the Civic Center. The evening festivities will also include joyous musical entertainment provided by the John Knox Presbyterian Church Choir and the DUSD Elementary Student Choir with Santa making a special appearance, his red bag filled with candy canes. The celebration will conclude with hot chocolate and cookies in the Regional Meeting Room.
Although this event is FREE, attendees are encouraged to bring a donation of either canned food or a toy for local charities. The community is also invited to add an ornament or other holiday decoration representing a tradition, culture or custom to the Community Tree located in the Civic Center lobby. Other holiday celebrations include the Heritage Holiday Tea, Winter Concert with the Bay Bells, Breakfast with Santa, the Letters from Santa program and the Old Fashioned Holiday Workshop. More information on these events can be found at The City of Dublin website.
