August Events Around Dublin

Tuesday, August 4th:  “National Night Out” Neighborhood Watch Parties throughout the city taking place between 6-9 p.m.

Wednesday, August 5th:  “The Martin C. Kauffman 100 Club BBQ”  This event an annual fundraiser for the 100 Club which,  is a 501 (c)(3) not for profit charitable organization providing immediate financial support to spouses of police officers and fire fighters that are killed in the line of duty in Alameda County . The Club also provides college scholarships for the children of the police officers and fire fighters killed in the line of duty in Alameda County.  The Summer BBQ is $25 per person, visit http://www.100clubalamedacounty.org/ for more information.

Friday, August 7th:  “Dublin Concert Series,” the group LAVA is scheduled to perform.  LAVA plays Latin Jazz, Cha-Cha-Cha, Latin Rock, Latin Funk and Salsa.  The concert will be at the Dublin Civic Center from 7-9pm, FREE for all.

Wednesday, August 12th: “Dublin Chamber of Commerce BBQ”  held at Rowell Ranch Picnic Area, Dublin Canyon Road, 11:30 a.m., Call (925) 828-6200. Make your reservation by August 7.

Thursday, August 20th:  “Tri-Valley Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Luncheon at the Shannon Community Center, 11:30 a.m., Call (925) 846-8910 for more information.

Friday, August 28th: “Family Movie Nights” -Emerald Glen Park (Begins at Dusk), “Shrek” will be the movie showing for the evening.  So bring blankets and/or a low beach chair and enjoy and night with the family, FREE for all.
