Hometown Heroes Event

Now an annual event, the Dublin Senior Center hosted the Hometown Heroes Celebration to honor all our past veterans this past Sunday. By all accounts, the event was very well received with a record crowd of 160 attendees! The Celebration was led by myself and I spoke of my admiration for past and present veterans and their families. New Camp Parks Commander, Lieutenant Colonel David James also spoke to the audience and introduced and recognized each branch of the military. The event was capped off by a stellar one-hour performance by the 191st Army Band – the “Band of the Wild West.” The event was free to the public and refreshments were served at the end of the day.
