2nd Annual Dublin Preschool “Pee Wee Walk-A-Thon”

The Dublin Preschool Program students participated in a walk-a-thon during the week of May 9th through 13th at Emerald Glen and Shannon Parks.  The walk-a-thon titled “Pee Wee Walk-A-Thon” was created as a fundraiser for the City’s Youth Fee Asssistance program.  This is the second year the event has taken place.  The students in each class walked five laps around their respective park with supervision from their teachers and parent volunteers.  The parents and friends of the students sponsored the children by pledging various amounts for each lap their child completed.  Over $2,200 has been deposited into the City’s Youth Fee Assistance program from pledged, which will provide 11 Dublin youth with scholarships to participate in Department activities, classes and events.
