Holiday toy Drive and Santa at the Fire House
The Alameda County Firefighters Holiday Toy Drive is in full swing in Dublin! Donations of toys or gift cards may be dropped off at any Dublin Fire Station or the Dublin Fire Prevention Office from now until December 24th. In 2008, firefighters were able to make spirits bright for over 300 children and families in Dublin, thanks to the generosity of local businesses, community members and City Staff.
To help support the increasing number of families that are anticipated to request holiday assistance this year, Station #18, located at 4800 Fallon, will play host to the Second Annual Santa at the Fire House event on Sunday, December 13th from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. For a $10 donation, guests can take a picture with Santa on the antique fire engine, enjoy freshly baked Otis Spunkmeyer cookies and milk, pick up the latest winter fire safety information and listen to firefighters read their favorite holiday story, “A Firefighter’s Night Before Christmas.” All proceeds will go towards assisting the Alameda County Firefighters Holiday Toy Drive grant wishes for Dublin families and children in need this holiday season.
