Pleasanton General Plan Update
As stipulated in the Pleasanton General Plan Update Policy 1, Program 1.6 (adopted July 2009), the City of Pleasanton intends to open the Stoneridge Drive Extension once an agreement between the cities of Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore and the County of Alameda can be made regarding the priorities and funding strategy for transportation projects in the Tri-Valley. The agreement specifically would stipulate completion of the regional arterial network that includes the extensions of Dublin Boulevard, Jack London Boulevard, North Canyons Parkway and Stoneridge Drive. Furthermore, the agreement would state that the partnering agencies would support the reprioritization of the State Route 84 Widening Project (between Pigeon Pass and I-680 from 2 to 4 lanes) from priority #12 to priority #7 in the Alameda County Congestion Management Agency’s approved Triangle Study Project Priority List. The Pleasanton City Council is tentatively scheduled to review a draft of the agreement at their April 20th City Council meeting. The councilmembers will have an opportunity to comment on the draft agreement. After the comments are considered by the other three partnering agencies, the Pleasanton City Council will then have an opportunity to approve the final agreement at an upcoming meeting, likely in May concurrent with their review of the Draft Supplement to the Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan Amendment/Staples Ranch Environmental Impact Report. Opportunity for approval will then be given to the City of Livermore City Council, the Alameda County Board of Supervisors, and the City of Dublin City Council in the following months.
