Ready, Set, Recycle Contest

The City of Dublin has been selected as one of two jurisdictions within the County for a pilot program through Stopwaste.org.  The contest is focused on promoting the City’s recycling and composting programs and giving cash and other prized for recycling excellence.  Specifically, Stopwaste.org will be conducting random audits of residents’ garbage bins, and from those that have minimal recycling and compostable materials within their garbage, they will select a group of winners.  From this group, they will select one grand prize winner.  The contest is set to begin in late June and continue through mid August.

The goal of the contest is to get neighbors to discuss the recycling contest and to get communities excited about recycling, thereby, establishing a habit of participation.  Stopwaster.org’s offering of this program to the City assists with the accomplishment of the High Priority City Council G&O to implement a food-scrap, cash-incentive program for single family residential customers.
