Residental Brokers/Sales Agents Roundtable
Thursday morning, the Economic Development Ad-Hoc Committee (myself and Councilmember Biddle) hosted our second Residential Roundtable to reach the sales offices and agents that represent properties in Dublin. We provided an overview on the development activities occurring in Dublin and then David Stark, the Public Affairs Director for BayEast, provided a presentation on the sales activity in the Tri-Valley market over the past year in comparison to the historical averages. This was followed by a robust discussion of today’s housing market and the driving forces behind home sales – relocations from the South Bay, as well as those seeking better schools for their kids (just a couple of examples). The group was extremely appreciative of the City for seeking their feedback and input on housing and hope to continue to keep this dialogue going in the future. Staff will be looking at opportunities to consolidate existing information into a format that is easily accessible to agents, sales people and future residents.
