Sheriff’s Office to Hold Community Meeting in Dublin on December 17 to Discuss Cannonball Incident

Dublin, Calif., December 13, 2011 – Alameda County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a community meeting on Saturday, December 17 at the Office of Emergency Services, 4985 Broder Road in Dublin starting at 11 a.m. . The purpose of the community meeting is to provide an opportunity for area residents to share their concerns about the recent “Mythbusters” cannonball incident with the Sheriff’s Office, who oversees the Training Center in Dublin.
Sheriff’s Office representatives will be joined by representatives from Dublin Police Services, as well as the City of Dublin.
Sheriff Ahern has suspended all non-emergency operations at the Training Center pending the completion of the investigation into the errant cannonball incident. The Sheriff’s Office and Mythbusters are cooperating with the investigation being led by Dublin Police Services.
