Subject: Child Safety Fair and Dublin Police Open House
Dublin Police Services will be hosting a Child Safety Fair and Police Department Open House on Saturday, May 22nd. The event precedes National Missing Children’s Day and is geared to address a variety of safety issues affecting young children, including bicycle safety, car seat safety, bad strangers, and internet predators. In addition to having safety information booths, several services will be offered, including digital fingerprinting, a bicycle rodeo, safety presentations, and car seat check-ups, which will be by appointment only.
A Dublin Police Department Open House and Static Display will take place in conjunction with the Child Safety Fair. Hourly tours of the department will be offered and the general public will have a chance to get an up-close look at some of the specialized equipment, tools and personnel utilized by Dublin Police Services. Equipment on display will include the Mobile Command Post, Explosive Ordnance Disposal robot and display, K-9s, and Special Response Unit vehicle and equipment, and much more.
The Child Safety Fair and Police Department Open House will take place at Dublin City Hall’s parking lot located at 100 Civic Plaza, from 10am – 2pm. Free hot dog meals will be available to the first 250 visitors.
To schedule an appointment for a child car seat check during the fair, call (925) 833-6686. Or, for more information about the Child Safety Fair and Open House, contact Dublin Police Services at (925) 833-6670.
